As we left the lab in Lee Hills Hall, I felt as though I died and gone to heaven. I couldn't actually believe that I was finally taking the class that I had read about the spring of my junior year in high school. The assignment was to go explore and ask people to empty the contents of their pockets into their hands.
This was the photo that I submitted for the assignment. David liked the low angle that I used and said it was a nice photo. She was sitting outside of Dream Catcher which is a store in downtown Columbia.
This man is homeless and was rude to me at first. As I was heading back to the lab, he stopped me and apologized and asked if I would take his photo.
This was the first man I went up to, I didn't end up choosing any of the shots that I did from him because the sun was so bright behind him, the contrast was a little off.

A little info.
- Eve Edelheit
- I am recent graduate of the University of Missouri, majoring in photojournalism. Right now, I am a photo intern at The Dallas Morning News. Last year, I attended the Danish School of Media and Journalism in the International Photojournalism program. I love the journey of working on a photo story, the destination is never what was predicted.
