Magic Hour

After I took photos for my balancing/fill assignment, I noticed the light this afternoon had a beautiful orange glow. This is what we like to call...The Magic Hour.

Advanced Techniques: Multimedia Assignment

For today's class, we had to find an audio slide show online and post the link for it. I found my audio slide show from nytimes.com. I love their multimedia section because it has a lot of variety. There are slide shows, audio slide shows, interactive maps and other interactive info graphics too.

The story is about the White House harvesting honey for the first time. It is injunction with the First Lady's organic garden project.

January 10th, 2010.

My step-mom almost knows me too well. Without fail, every time we go on a trip, she always emails me the itinerary for the flight. She knows that nothing brings me more joy then getting that awaited email. This morning I was greeted with a reminder email that I will be leaving January 10th for India. I can't wait to go back to a place I love so much.

Joe McNally Magnificence

This week, Joe McNally came to Mizzou and worked with my adv. techniques class. We went over to Stephens College and worked with 3 of their ballet students. I will remember this experience forever. I learned so much about lighting and leading the life of a photographer from our short time with him. I really appreciate our photojournalism department, especially Rita, for bringing him to work with us. I used a Nikon D3 to take the following photos, I love that camera.
