PJSTAR: Feature Hunting.

I made it! After 96 hours in Minneapolis, I have been in Peoria for almost two weeks.

 This fall, I am the photo intern at the Peoria Journal Star. So far, I have really loved the position. 

I get to work with a phenomenal photo staff, shoot a variety of assignments everyday and learn a lot! 

Here's a photo I took when I was feature hunting when my editor, told me to go drive around Peoria for a few hours and get to know the city. 

PJSTAR: Military Portraits-My First A1.

This was an assignment about two Peoria Military members impacted in their service by 9/11. 

I only had time to make a head shot with the first person, so I tried to make more of an environmental portrait with the second person. I got to climb into a massive army truck...I love my job.

On The Road.

Kit and I drove almost 1100 miles in 2 days. From Chautauqua, we stopped in Columbus to see the lovely Taylor Glascock and Andy Spear. From there we passed through Indiana, Illinois, (stopping for a necessary Jewish deli lunch with my family), Wisconsin and finally Minneapolis.
