After my last assignment, I wanted to take a different approach to shooting my character profile.
I had worked with Kate briefly during my time as a staff photographer for the Columbia Missourian, but I had a gut feeling my time wasn't done with her.
Kate is a world champion power lifter and yoga teacher in Columbia.
Kate utilizes her inner spirituality in these physical activities and throughout her life.
I really enjoyed the time I spent with Kate and her friends, students and family during this project.
I am extremely grateful to Kate for allowing me to help tell her story.
I hope to keep photographing Kate in the future.
